Mindfulness Mondays
2022

Among black women of all ages who struggle with stress and anxiety, compared to our white counterparts, are half as likely to seek help for anxiety and depression. Data shows that for Black women, anxiety is more chronic and the symptoms more intense than their white counterparts.  Practicing yoga and mindfulness helps improve emotional and physical well-being. Black females who practice mindfulness meditation are generally enthusiastic about the potential for mindfulness practice among their fellow friends and family to promote health and well-being.

Please join us in 2022 for our Mindfulness Monday programs focused on Yoga, Meditation, HIV/AIDs, Metabolic Syndrome, Childhood Obesity and Mental Health.

YOU OKAY, SIS?

You Okay, Sis is an annual symposium to network with community
stakeholders and learn more about the status of Black women and girls in the areas of
health, education, economic empowerment, and civic engagement. Also, we will explore
how to create better outcomes that will enhance opportunities that may seem out of reach.
You will definitely leave empowered.
