PUBLIC POLICY

Our Public Policy Committee educates and creates programing around citizen education on local, state and federal government issues and processes as well as engaging community partners for nonpartisan social action.
The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. has defined the following advocacy priorities related to civic engagement:
  • Voter Education, Registration and Rights
  • Increasing the number of women candidates running for public office
  • Issuing timely policy alerts (to our membership and community citizens)
  • Issuing position papers on public policy platform issues
Additionally, the Queen City Metropolitan Chapter's Public Policy committee will assist the chapter in advocating for policies that promote access and equity in the areas of Health, Education, and Economic Empowerment. QCMC is a member of NC Women Matter, a non-partisan coalition committed to building the capacity for all women and women’s organizations to have their voices heard in upcoming elections.
